Barre classes are a low impact fitness method fusing the techniques of dance, yoga, and Pilates. Classes work the entire body using isometric movements and holds resulting in deep muscle activation. Our alignment-first approach and focus on body-awareness results in a powerful yet joint friendly workout that supports long term strength.

PILATES

Offering both Mat and Reformer Pilates, a disciplined physical system created by German anatomist Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century.  Through a series of precise, controlled movements it targets all muscle groups in the body whilst working on posture, functionality and flexibility.

Offering a wide variety of yoga classes, focusing on breath, mindfulness, and flexibility, as well as heated classes offering muscular and cardiovascular challenge. Originally Zen Fitness, the studio was established in 2009 by Kate Connor to provide the Columbus area with the most reputable source for mind-body fitness. Over the following 12 years, the community continued to evolve - in September 2021 the studio was purchased by Brittany Huesman and The Zen Wellness Company was born. Our 10 instructors have spent over 2700 hours in trainings, certifications, and continued education, and have over 100 years of combined teaching experience. With degrees and specialties in kinesiology, muscle energy technique, personal training, pre- and post-natal, and fitness nutrition, we strive to offer motivating and effective workouts as well as incorporate other aspects of holistic health and wellness such as nutrition, hydration, stress reduction, and sleep.
